There are plenty of books about management consultancy some covering the topic in great depth. John Pope, author of Winning Consultancy Business, says, as far as he knows, there is no book which concentrates on the marketing and selling of consultancy. And there is no easy step by step guide to help the consultant tackle the job of winning the right profitable business from the right client.
His new book covers the subject in an introduction and 22 short chapters each of which sets out principles and gives strong sound advice on how to tackle issues, with examples. Most have short ‘one-liners’ which state the obvious but which are so easy for even very experienced consultants to forget when with a prospective client.
