Can you learn the decision processes of our top directors?
They say that the way you work is more or less fixed by the play patterns you develop as a child. This is, however, often difficult to realise and play patterns are difficult to describe.
The author has tried to capture the thread of some of the processes top directors (including BP) have used to make their companies successful. It is all down to thinking in terms of process flows, the flow for a top manager looks different to that of the operator level, but they can all be linked up to give a cohesive business model. The CEO juggles with strategic processes and business partners in their industry to come up with a better way to put the industry together.
The book tries to map out decisions that have been made by different companies and builds a framework to allow you to copy or to better communicate the decisions.
This way of looking at companies is more in line with the internet age, which reduces as much as possible to automated actions or “processes”.
